"Working with Colorado AKK was an awesome experience! Melissa answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) and was prompt about getting back to me. When the day finally came to go get our little guy she offered many times to meet us halfway, though we turned down the offer I found it very generous. She let us stay at her house for a good 3 hours while we asked more questions, met her dogs and got to know our little boy.

Melissa is an awesome person and I see us working with her again in the future."

"After losing my Siberian Husky who I had for 14+ years, it’s taken me 12 years to be ready for another dog in my life. My Veterinarian has asked me many times when I was getting another pet because I was a good pet owner. I always responded “when they figure out how to make Huskies stay little.” Imagine my delight when I found the AKK. I was in contact with several breeders that are within driving distance for me, and Melissa with Colorado AKK was always quick to respond and willing to answer any questions I had. She made adopting an AKK easy and enjoyable. I was lucky enough to adopt “Pink” from Angie and Kavik’s litter. She is now “Nikita” and loving her new home in Missouri. We drove out to Colorado to pick Nikita up and when Melissa answered the door with Nikita in her arms, it was love at first sight. She was even more beautiful than the pictures. We were able to spend time at Melissa’s home bonding with Nikita before we headed home. Melissa was so great to work with, and her children were a treat. I’m very glad that Nikita was raised around a large, loving family. She is so well adjusted and loves kids. I take her with me everywhere, even work, and she definitely is an attention getter. Everyone loves her and she seems to adapt to new things rather quickly. She has stolen my heart. Thank you Melissa not only for Nikita, but for all you do on the home front while Jason is in Iraq."

"For a while we had been searching for the perfect addition to our breeding program. When we came across Colorado AKK we were impressed by the professional-looking website, and how quickly Melissa responded to us. Her communication with us was impecible, and I can say for certain that you'll find no other breeder more eager to answer questions and offer information. We were astounded by how friendly and accomodating Melissa has been, and still is. The amount of updates and pictures that accompanied them kept us intrigued and excited about our new addition. "I've had my pup, Rugby, for two weeks now and I couldn't be happier. He's become a part of my family and has proven that he can adjust to life in a city apartment. He has his own personality quirks and I take some time every day to train him and, at 10 weeks, he's already got a lot of them down.

He's high energy, but that's what I like. He retains a playful demeanor throughout the day and many people comment that hehas the manurisms of a cat at the moment when he plays with his toys. He's VERY sociable, staying calm but friendly when meeting new people and dogs, never getting nervous or having accidents. My everyday life has changed and I've had to adopt new disciplines, but I couldn't be happier."

"Ever since graduating college, I had my heart set on getting a puppy - a very hard task for someone like me who has to have everything perfect. She helped ease my fears over the new responsibility I would soon embrace.
