Everything about Colorado AKK is 100% accurate. Colorado AKK to us is a exceptional breeder. Not only do you receive an absolutely beautiful dog, but they deliver, and we live in Canada! For a breeder to actually travel with the dog to our destination secured our thoughts and feelings of Colorado AKK. To us this spoke volumes about the kind of great people that work at Colorado AKK. They TRULY CARE about the well being of all of their dogs.
Every time I contact Colorado AKK they always had a response to us right away, always within hours of me sending my message. All corespondance between us was always professional and accurate. No hidden costs!!
As for the dog, he is wonderful. A great personality, temperament, and all the other good qualities you could possible want this dog has. He arrived to us and took immediately to our young children. He arrived to us fully potty trained.

We started looking at the breed some time ago and happened upon the AKK website. After filling out documentation and waiting for a litter we were contacted and after reviewing pictures we requested a video which was promptly produced! We made our choice and were updated constantly with new pictures of our Lilly Marie and when the happy day arrived Melissa let us know she was aboard a flight to Oregon! We are thrilled with our little girl and could not be more pleased with Melissa's care and concern and professionalism over this period.

We were lucky enough to recently adopt a pup. We originally decided to adopt from Colorado AKK because the dogs truly seemed to be a part of their family and very well socialized. Additionally, unlike other breeders we contacted much closer to our home in Texas, Melissa answered all our emails within a day or two (often within a few hours). She was very professional and made getting a puppy from Colorado a stress-free experience!
Now that our little guy is finally home, everyone comments on how beautiful and well-behaved he is. Within two days he was completely housebroken! He is also very calm and sensitive with my father who is a quadriplegic--quite unusual for a puppy. We absolutely love our little guy, and if we ever decide to get him a brother or a sister we will certainly be coming back to Melissa and Colorado AKK!

I was looking for a small sized dog to join our family. Then I came across The COLORADO AKK website, after looking at their information and history about the Klee Kai I was getting excited I found the kind of dog that woud fit my personality and life style. Melissa and I e-mail back and forth, she answered my questions and let us come to her home to see adult dogs and the puppies. "Working with Melissa and Colorado AKK was more than great. I felt like being with my puppy from the very beginning. I received the first picture of my baby (Blue) when he was just one hour old and I would receive weekly updates with the newest information, pictures and even videos. Melissa was also eager to answer any question I had in no less than a day. But what I thank Melissa for most is that she brought my Blue all the way from Colorado to Fankfurt, Germany. What other breeder would have done that? She also took care of all the needed paperwork and examinations.
When we picked Blue up at the airport he was 8 weeks old, walked pefectly on the leash, well socialized and in perfect health and condition. People that have experience with dogs will know that 8 week old puppies do not walk well on the leash… if they even walk on the leash at all and aren’t to busy chewing it LOL I was just amazed at how well he was already trained! The puppy packet had various information and other things which were very helpful!
I don’t think I could have found a breeder who loves her dogs more and puts so much love into details as Melissa does! She is all about the well-being of her puppies and she helped me find my perfect match! I honestly feel that this puppy was bred just for me.
I’ve had Blue for 3 weeks now. He is a very fast learner and already knows various commands. He loves to meet new people and play with other puppies and children. Two weeks before Blue came we had moved to a new town. He draws so much attention, that the whole town is talking about him and people already know about us before we meet them (“The couple with the beautiful mini-husky“) :)
I honestly can not think of any negative experience with Melissa and Colorado AKK!!! I have had various dogs from different breeders and this one is the best. For the future I’ll only be adopting from Colorado AKK.

"After losing my Siberian Husky who I had for 14+ years, it’s taken me 12 years to be ready for another dog in my life.
